Change a Light Bulb Program

Julian from VEEP gave the students a workshop to learn about electricity and how to save it by using make efficient, long lasting LED bulbs. 
The students enjoyed the hands on materials.

After we read Brown Girl Dreaming in March, we each wrote about our dreams in life. We went to the library and shared our "Jamaica Kids Dreaming"  narratives.

Drumming Class

We loved the African Drumming class  with Mr. Steve and learning how the instruments are made today.

We learned a lot about life in Jamaica from our guests who visited the classroom. Each student asked a question and we took notes from the responses.

I'm We made rockets, learned Newton's First Law and designed Safety Restraint Systems to keep Eggbert safe in the space shuttle on our first day at STARBASE.

Measuring Mass

We used two-pan balances to take the mass of classroom items such as markers, erasers, stuffed animals and magnet men. The students loved this activity!
